Analysis
One piece of feedback I have received is that there was a lot of background noise in our filming, this meant that our dialogue could not be heard. this occurred as the room we filmed in there was lots of walls and no furniture so the background was louder . In our main task we need to make sure that our setting is in a room with a lot of furniture to absorb excess background noise or that our setting is in quiet place where there is little background noise. If we film and find there is a lot of background noise we can either edit the sound out and replace it with the correct sound effects that we want, however we want the film to be as authentic as possible so we may have to retake certain shots. This could be tricky as we would need to make sure everyone can make the same day and this would take up valuable time we could use editing.
Another piece of feedback we received was that the editing between certain shots was very sloppy. I was an editor in this film along with Amy. To improve my editing for the main task I think that I should watch videos that are specified in the editing software that we use, improving your skills to improve the quality of your film is important when it comes to being part of film team as you want your film to be as successful as it possibly can. If I was to have the role as editor as in our main task I think that I need to watch other peoples work. This will mean I can take ideas from films and apply it to our main task. Looking at what creative ideas are in trend right now could influence my editing and potentially improve the quality of film.
I think that our film lacked a variety of shot types, this made our film quite boring as I saw the audience losing interest half way through watching. Personally I think this was because we lacked a variety of shot types. We did use shot types such as close ups, over shoulder shots, extreme close ups and establishing shots, however these shots became repetitive within our film, this made the film very tedious towards the end. In our main task I think we need to use a vast amount of shot types. We could include shots such as POV shots to add the view of certain characters, close ups and extreme close ups to capture emotion from certain characters. Adding different shots will add depth to our film which is what we want.
